29 Mei Hari Seniman Kebangsaan

P.Ramlee's big break came on 1 June 1948 when he was spotted by Tamil film director B. S. Rajhans from Malay Film Productions(MFP) of Jalan Ampas, Singapore. The director was impressed by Ramlee, and in 1949, he was cast in the film Nasib (Fate). Seven years later, Ramlee directed his first film Penarik Becha (The Trishaw Man). In 1957, Ramlee would act in the first of his Bujang Lapok (Dowdy Bachelors) comedic films, which are still popular among the modern Malay film watchers.

On 29 May 1973 P.Ramlee died at the age of 44 due to heart problems and was buried in Jalan Ampang Muslim Cemetery, Kuala Lumpur. In 1986, in honour of his contributions to the Malaysian entertainment industry, the P. Ramlee Memorial was set up in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. In 1982(the year I was born), Jalan Parry in the KL city centre has been renamed Jalan P. Ramlee in his honor. He was posthumously awarded with the honorific title Tan Sri in the early 1990s.

The day of his death is now announce as Hari Seniman Kebangsaan. So guys, let's be proud of it. Al-Fatihah to Allahyarham Tan Sri P. Ramlee.

Reality Becomes Inspiration

Ermm...yesterday i'm watching American Idol Grand Final between David and David. The winner is my favourite.....David Cook. Walaupun aku rasa persembahan dia kureenng skit malam final tu, but....he deserve it.

Aku bukannya nak mengagungkan diorang tapi benda ni kenyataan. Cuba korang tengok rancangan realiti TV kita....kebanyakannya nak cari untung je. Aku sendiri dapat tengok kadang-kadang apa yang diorang buat tu kebanyakannya dirancang sebab nak dapatkan rating.....and most important thing is MONEY la kan.

Aku kekadang kesal gak dengan showbizz kat negara kita nih sebab aku dah tengok ramai performer yang bagus-bagus kat Malaysia nih struggle gila-gila tapi hasilnya tak seberapa. Yang jual muka ni tak payah dikirala...berlambak sangat.

Aku ni bukannya pandai sangat nak kritik-kritik orang. Nanti salah cakap kena saman pulak....paling sadis nanti kena masuk ISA. Wakakakaka. Sedih la bila tengok industri hiburan kat Malaysia ni. Berkembang tu memang la berkembang tapi poket yang tak kembang-kembang. Sabar je la ye tuan-tuan dan puan-puan (ayat Patt Ibrahim)

Aku selalu jugakla bertukar-tukar pendapat dengan pensyarah muzik di University of Queensland, Mr Downie Brass. Bayangkan....bila aku bagi dia dengar lagu 'Kasih Tercipta'(Faizal Tahir) dan lagu 'Rock N Roll Pie'(Search)....korang nak tau apa yang dia kata?....'I didn't know Malaysia have this kind of genre. In my thought Malaysia just have a traditional music. I will keep these songs for my collection.' Aku rasa malu jugak la bila dia kata dia tak tau Malaysia ada muzik macam ni. So...what can I say.......THINK!!!!!!!!!

8...the Lucky Number

Well, alhamdulillah....I think this is my luckiest year ever. Hopefully it will last longer. My birthday is on 18/08/1982. A lot of '8'. I got a new life, new job, new car (insyaallah).

What I want to do now is enjoying every minute of my happy life....minimize the problem maximize the happinest. I really hope all my friends are feel the same way too (i'll doa-doakan utk u all).

In life the spoils of victory go to those who make a 100% commitment to the outcome, to those who have a “no matter what it takes” attitude. They give it their all; they put everything they have into getting their desired result.

What a simple concept this is-yet you’d be surprised how many people wake up every day and fight with themselves over whether or not to keep their commitments, stick to their disciplines, or carry out their action plans.
